Mahé highlights
Your journey usually begins in the capital city, Victoria. It’s one of the world’s smallest capitals, but its charm is larger than life. Key stops may include the Clocktower, the colourful market, the Hindu temple, and lively streets lined with craft shops and fruit stalls.
The journey winds from Victoria up into the cool mountain passes, opening onto sweeping viewpoints over Mahé’s lush coastline, before slowing down at the Botanical Gardens to admire orchids, palms, endemic plants, and giant tortoises (entrance optional). Some itineraries also pause at the historic Tea Factory, where misty hills and tea-scented air set a tranquil mood.
Along the way, craft villages offer a glimpse of Creole culture through handmade baskets, jewellery, carvings, and spices, before the day ends along iconic coastal where iconic beaches.
Please note: Conservation fees and entrance fees to the Botanical Gardens are not included in the tour price.
